Hello everyone!

This is going to be a very random blog post but I though I'd just share some of my favourite bands/artists, because music is something that I never go a day without and it's very important to me.

Kings of Leon (KOL) are one of my favourite bands and I have seen them in concert twice, one of those time in Washington DC. They are amazing musicians and I absolutely adore them. I especially love the Mechanical Bull Album.

Mayday Parade are another amazing band. I love them so much, and one of my favourite songs is Terrible Things. Actually, Three Cheers For Five Years is one of my favourites too.

Arctic Monkeys are another brilliant band that I absolutely love. I think they have such good style. One of my favourites is Mardy Bum.

Kodaline are another one of my favourite bands. They are so good and can perfect any song. One of my favourites is All I Want, however it does make me cry.

Grouplove is another one of my favourite bands. It's quite different to most bands and I really like that. One of my favourite songs is I'm With You, when it's performed live.

Avril Lavigne is the first artist who isn't part of a band! I love Avril Lavigne and have done since a very young age. I just love her style and music.

The Smiths are one of my favourite bands too, and I'm so sad that I didn't see them live before they broke up!

Kaiser Chiefs are another great band which I love. I have loved their songs since a very young age and I love their style.

I love Bastille, I love Dan's voice (the lead singer) and I think all of their songs are just so beautiful. Especially Oblivion, and Pompeii (which reminds me so much of the FAYZ book series by Michael Grant).

There are literally so many band that I absolutely love, but I don't want this blog post to be long and boring, so maybe if I find more that I NEED to share with you, I will make a second, and probably a third, and probably a fourth one.

Pretty Little Liars

Everyone has been constantly talking about Pretty Little Liars, so I thought I'd check it out and now I don't do anything but watch it!
I am absolutely in love with it, don't spoil me though, I'm only on episode 19 of season 1.
I'm not too sure what the point of this blog post is, I just really wanted to share my new love with this amazing TV series with you. Seasons 1-5 (which is all of the seasons so far) are all on Netflix so you can check it out if you don't already watch it, which I think you should do.

Pretty Little Liars is about a group of four friends basically trying to find out who killed their friend last summer. Meanwhile, they keep getting texts from a mysterious person, always signed '--A', which is the first letter of their dead friend's name (Alison). This is basically the storyline, I'm trying not to give too much away.

This is Hanna Marin. She never used to be in the group, until Alison helped her lose weight and made her popular. It's difficult to describe her without giving little things away. The series starts with her going out with a boy called Sean, whether they stay together all the way through the series or not, I couldn't tell you.

This is Aria Montgomery. She is the closest to a main character, to be honest I'm not sure why I didn't do her first. She is popular and has always been with the friendship group. Again it's quite hard to describe these characters without giving away random things.

This is Emily Field. She has always been part of the friendship group and she is a dedicated swimmer and is very good at it.

This is Spencer Hastings. She is the clever friend and has always been in the friendship group. Alongside her studies, she really enjoys sports and focusses a lot on that too. In the past she has always had a little crush on her sister's boyfriends,

This is Alison, she's the dead friend. She is the one who brought the friendship group together and she has always been popular. However, she has a lot of secrets even her best friends don't know.

Overall I just really love Pretty Little Liars and am absolutely, definitely obsessed!

A few of my favourite things...

Welcome!
As my first proper blog post i thought i good idea would be to do a little introduction to me (me being Anna). I am going to share with you, as briefly as i can, a few of my favourite things. Beware it is going to be a mixture of complete randomness!

Giraffes! I have not much to say about them apart from i have loved them since as long as i can remember, i think they are beautiful and also completely fascinating. I have a fairly large collection of giraffes; ranging from teddies to wooden metre high figures. I feel as though they are my thing and i shall always love them.

Ballet! I did ballet as a three year old but stopped not long after beginning, i then start again three years ago when i was 11 and have been doing it ever since. I have completed grades 1,2,3 and 5 (yes i did miss out grade 4) and now do 3 hours a week. And am very excited to be starting pointe next month! Ballet makes you feel beautiful and graceful, it also makes you feel free and is a opportunity to express your feelings.

Coronation Street! Coronation street is something a really look forward to, i watch it with my brother and mum. I have only been watching it about a year and a half however now I'm into it i can't imagine ever stopping watching it! About a month ago i went to manchester on the coronation street tour at the old set, it was really interesting and has made me view the whole programme in a very different way.

Friends! I love my friends more then anything and some of my best times have been with them. We laugh, chat and cry, but i don't know what i would do without them. So as soppy as it sounds friends are one of my favourite things!

Nerds! Perhaps one of the most unhealthy things in the world which send you buzzing of the roof, however they have become our thing at sleepovers and so only remind me of happiness. I wouldn't go as far as saying they are my favourite sweets however they remind me of and are associated with happy times!

Bruno Mars! I love Bruno Mars' music so much! I think he has a really great mixture of songs in terms of mood and has an amazing voice. I saw him in concert last year and he was amazing, i can't believe I'm saying this but i enjoyed it more than Little Mix!

And the list goes on... Im sorry it was so long, I'm so used to blabbing on forever in videos i forgot you can't really do the same on a blog! Anyway hope you enjoyed it! What are some of your favourite things?

Benefit They're Real Mascara Review

Hello everyone!

I thought I'd do a quick review on one of my favourite mascaras: the Benefit They're Real Mascara.
I know that this isn't their newest mascaras, as they recently brought out the Roller Lash Mascara, but it is one of my all-time favourites

First, I need to mention the packaging because I absolutely ADORE it! The cardboard box-thing that it comes in is so pretty and just looks so...new and exciting. One thing you'll learn about me through these blog posts is that I love the boxes that things come in and the packaging is very important to me, because I like to keep the boxes. The good thing about the box that the They're Real Mascara comes in, is it doesn't take up too much room. This is because it's not one of those boxes that are way too big for the product, but the mascara bottle fits in perfectly.

Moving on too the actual mascara bottle...I literally cannot put into words how much I love it! It - for some odd reason - makes me feel like I'm backstage of a show and I'm getting ready to go up (it's very random, I know). I literally feel like some Hollywood star when I pick up the bottle. I love how shiny it is and I absolutely love the choice of colours, especially the pinky colour. One fault, however, is that it does get dirty very fast and that can completely change the look of the bottle, so you have to be sure to keep it clean and snazzy.

I've just realised that I've rambled on A LOT and I haven't even gotten to the actual product inside the bottle yet. I like to wear the They're Real Mascara on days where I want more dramatic lashes. I definitely would not wear it for more natural looking lashes. I find that this mascara works differently on different people, because when I wear it, I need to go full out for the false-lash-effect, but when my sister wears it, she can get really natural, separated lashes, so it may just depend on the type of eyelashes you have. Either way, it's a great mascara. It really lengthens my lashes so much, they are practically hitting my eyebrows! My lashes have NO (absolutely zilch) curl at all, if anything they point at odd angles downwards. I do curl my lashes before I put mascara on, and I find that the They're Real Mascara holds the curl for about an hour, after that I still have a curl from the mascara, but it's less of a full curl. However, I would not blame this on the mascara because I am still looking for a mascara that will hold my curl for 3+ hours.

I love the brush of this mascara, because the bristles aren't too long, but they apply just the right amount of mascara to your lashes. The tip of the brush is like a spiky ball and this is supposed to be to separate your lashes, but I actually quite like to use it for my bottom lashes, as it's a lot easier to use rather than the entire brush.

The formulation of the mascara is good, but I do think it's a bit dry, which can make it very difficult to apply more than one layer, because by the time you get to applying the second layer of mascara, the first coat has dried and will just crumble back onto the brush. Having saying this, the mascara isn't actually that crumbly, unless you decide to go over it with the brush when it's dry.

Overall I do love this mascara, as I mentioned quite a few times near the beginning of this post, but I think the result you get depends on the type of lashes you have.

Lots of love, Donya x

We are Anna and Donya, two 14 year old girls who have been friends for as long as can be remembered! Our plan for this blog is just to go with the flow! Mainly we will write individually about whatever we fancy whenever we fancy and hopefully with lots of pictures (because we all know thats the best bit).

We also have a YouTube channel called Ditsy Rainbow, where we upload videos every Thursday, all about beauty and fashion and we also do fun challenges and play games.

Thats it for today, thank you so much for reading this, it means a lot.
